I forgot

That I had started this blog.

So I'm finally back home from my mothers house, but still not really fully mobile, I have this lovely "moon boot" till the end of the month, but it doesn't really stop me from doing anything. I'm not like bed ridden any longer. Yay!

I went and saw this fantastic band from New York called Yeasayer on Friday night with my friend Adam and some of his friends, I had been trying to decide if I should go to the show as I was going to go by myself...but then Adam said he was going so it made the choice a lot easier, and I am SO happy that I decided to go because Yeasayer were just mind blowing, one of the best bands I've seen live in a really long time (and I see on average two bands a week).

After the show I Went and met up with some friends who were at an after party for another show that they had played at, I got a pass to go to that off one of them so I didn't end up getting home till nearly 3. My foot hated me after that! I was a bit sad that Yeasayer didn't make it to this party I was at (or at least I didn't see them) because I would have liked to have met them, Conor Oberst and Har Mar Superstar were there though ( who even knows what Har Mar is doing in Brisbane right now, he's not playing shows, I think he was like doing something with Peaches at Parklife the next day)

Anyway, now I have to go back to college tomorrow morning, which I'm not really looking forward too, because I have got no where near enough stuff done. I have a good excuse you know, with the whole foot thing. But still I wish I had got more done!

Ok I'm done now.

Home tomorrow

I've got my moon boot, and I get my car back tomorrow....so I get to go home and try and be a functioning human again haha.

So many photos needed to be taken, and no where near getting them done, I should probably try and process some film tomorrow, and at least contact print a whole bunch of stuff at college on Friday, it'll be a good test to see how the foot goes, standing on it for that amount of time.

So much to do, so little time! I really did chose a bad time to have this stupid operation, not that I had much choice in that.

Even thought I'm not going to have anywhere near enough stuff done I'm still kind of looking forward to getting back to college on Monday.

Also trying to decide if I should go to either JSS/The Grates on Friday night, or the Rocketsmiths EP Launch, I know with my foot being the way it is I should probably just stay home, but I have to shoot my "Photo story" on the Brisbane music scene and I do have some things for it, but not enough.

OK enough rambling now.

Foot foot footy foot

So I was meant to be able to at least start kind of moving a little bit today, but nooooo I went and had the dressing from the op. removed and was given the choice of either a cast I could walk on or a big shoe thing, and well after 12 weeks in cast last year, I obviously chose the shoe, because I don't have to like put plastic on my foot to shower and things like that, but then I got to the orthopedic place to get the shoe and they were closed :( So now I have to go back super early tomorrow morning annnnnd my foot is totally unprotected tonight.  It is so much more bruised and gross than last time :(

I can't wait!

Till I move into my new place!! I seriously can't wait to live by myself!! I mean I love my current house mates, but after 7 years of boarding schools and 5 years of share house living I just can't wait to be in my own house, where I can do what ever I want to it, and everything in it will be mine, and I don't have to worry about other people at all, I can what ever I want, when ever I want. So excited!!

I'm totally going to have an orange wall in my lounge and I'm going to hang lots of pretty photos/pictures/posters on it....all in black frames....kinda like the picture bellow that I found on the internet somewhere

Annnnd I'm going to have a bright pink wall in my bedroom, because I have always wanted a brightly coloured bedroom and have never been able to have one.

And last, but certainly not least there is a really big bathroom... big enough for me to have a darkroom put in :)

It looks so nice outside!

But I'm stuck on this stupid bed unable to move :(

I imagine I will probably post many more pointless blogs today, or maybe not because the internet is being painfully slow. But I am so bored!! Only two more days till I go back to the doctors and hopefully get to put weight on my foot hehe.

Most boring weekend ever!

In other news I just switched on the TV and the British version of Ready Steady Cook was on and my head master from my prep school was one of the contestants, it made me laugh. Hopefully it is on again later so mom and Daniel can see it.

I seriously can't wait to go home! But just realised I don't have a car at the moment haha, didn't think about that as I haven't had to go anywhere. I hope it will be ready to be picked up sometime soon!

Enough babble for now.

My Top Ten Movies

Right now these are probably my top 10 movies. But I change my mind all the time.

Some of my pictures

So in the week prior to my foot operation I tried to get a lot of photos done, most of them were on film and have not yet been processed, but here are some of the digital ones. Let me know if you have any opinions on them

Traffic Control Boxes

This is the start to a series of photos of the traffic control boxes all over Brisbane, I've been thinking for a long time about doing this as they are everywhere! Finally got it started the other day. All of the bellow are in the valley.

Hello

So I'm very very bored! Recovering from a foot operation, thought I would start this blog so I can post some of my photos on here, and other people's images that inspire me, or make me laugh. You get the idea

Have a great evening :)
